Arboretum App

This app for the Washington Park Arboretum is based on a stylized map of the park, focusing on wayfinding and plant identification. It uses the Arboretum’s existing database of their plants’ locations and species, but improves upon their current web-based map, which is cluttered and difficult to use. With features such as "nearby" and "highlighted plants," users can easily discover the wonders of the arboretum and learn about the beautiful plant life there.

CareerBuilder Logo

CareerBuilder is a tool to empower both job-seekers and employers to find the right match. Their attitude as a company is very “go-get-em” and friendly. I decided to create a monogram for this company, rather than a pictorial logo to ensure that it was not biased toward any one kind of job. The strong geometric shapes and bold lines of the logo convey the idea of empowerment, while the soft corners and typeface pairing show the friendliness of the company.

Nordic Museum Rebrand

This was a branding project for the Nordic Museum in Ballard. The logo is inspired by the figurehead of a viking ship, and the patterns and colors are also based on Nordic culture. The logotype mixes serif and san serif to create an institutional feeling, while also keeping it modern to fit with the new building that the museum was moving into at the time of the rebrand.

Nordic Museum Rebrand

This was a branding project for the Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle. The logo is the figurehead of a viking ship. The patterns and color choices are both rooted in Nordic culture as well. I chose to mix serif and sans serif in the logotype in order to create an educational and institutional feeling, while also keeping it fresh and modern to fit with the brand new building that the museum was moving into at the time of the rebrand.
