People are disconnected from the textile waste they generate. The only way to participate in the current system is to donate/contribute to the waste stream or buy back a finished product at a price they cannot afford. BRX is a free, open-source brick-making system that publishes the complete recipe and instructions so that discarded fabric can be transformed into usable objects and kept in use by the same person who owned the clothes to begin with.
BRX offers a purchasable, reusable mold kit with everything required to build your mold without a trip to the hardware store: pre-cut plywood pieces, a cylindrical void insert, hardware, and a printed assembly guide. Once built, the full recipe, binder recipe, and a catalogue of configurations are published freely at brx.com. Stack bricks into a stool, a shelf, a wine holder, a planter & more. Pair them with a wood plank, glass panel, or a metal sheet. The system scales to however much fabric you have and whatever you need to build.
